Devil (デビル Debiru?) or also arguably known by fans as Devil Kazuya (デビル一八 Debiru Kazuya?) is a fictional character who was made his first debut in Tekken as a secret character. He is the demonic form of Kazuya Mishima. He is the first Devil character to appear in Tekken and was replaced in Devil Jin in Tekken 5.

Personality[]

Unlike Devil Jin, he's very calm and arrogant. And often harshly insults his enemies. 

Story[]

Tekken (1st Tournament)[]

He can be unlocked by beating the galaga mini game once.

Tekken 2 (2nd Tournament)[]

Several years ago, Kazuya was throwned by Heihachi from a cliff. After Kazuya was heavily wounded, he was encountered by an unknown entity known as Devil. The Devil gave all his power to Kazuya and quickly heals his wounds. 2 years later, Kazuya owns the Mishima Zaibatsu and announced the King of Iron Fist Tournament 2. After Kazuya was succeded to the final match, Kazuya once again meets Heihachi. Kazuya turns to Devil form and fights Heihachi. However, Kazuya ultimately defeated by Heihachi and was thrown into a volcano. And seals his fate forever.

Ending Description: Devil is shown standing in the top of a sky

craper. He then charges his beam and preparing to fires it and releasing it at full power. The top of the building then covered in a burning ash. 

Tekken 4 (4th Tournament)[]

Devil only appeared in Kazuya's ending, where Kazuya absorbs Jin's Devil powers and transforms into Devil.

Devil appears in Jun's imagination in the Tekken: The Motion Picture.

Tekken Tag Tournament[]

Devil appears as a regular character in the arcade version, an unlockable character on the home version of the game. He can be unlocked by beating the game 8 times with 8 different characters.

Ending Description: Devil saw Jun Kazama's unconscious body. He then crouches and grabs the body then carries it and fly away.

Trivia[]

  • In Tekken, his appearance was just the purple-body-painted version of Kazuya with black gauntlets.
  • In Tekken Tag Tournament, Devil's alternate costume was another character named Angel. Can be selected by pressing the start button.
  • In Tekken Tag Tournament, if Devil teamed with Kazuya, their tag switch was a transformation from Kazuya to Devil and vice versa.
