Rolling Thunder 2 (ローリングサンダー2, Rolling Thunder 2^?) is an arcade game released in 1990. It is the sequel of Rolling Thunder. The game was ported for the Sega Mega Drive in 1991, and both arcade and Mega Drive versions were released for Wii's Virtual Console. The arcade port has been ported to Arcade Archives and Namco Museum for Switch.

Story

In the year 199X, orbiting satellites of many countries were mysteriously destroyed one after another. Information was cut off and the world fell into chaos. While investigating the problem, the World Criminal Police Organization discovered that the terrorist group known as Geldra, which was once destroyed, has now resurfaced and become active again. Two special agents from the Rolling Thunder team, Albatross and Leila, are sent to investigate.
