Galaga Legions (ギャラガレギオンズ) is a fixed-shooter video game developed and released by Namco Bandai Games on August 20, 2008 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It is the eleventh game in the Galaxian series and was developed by the same team who developed Pac-Man Championship Edition. A sequel titled Galaga Legions DX was released under the Namco Generations brand name on June 29, 2011 for the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.
The player controls a spacecraft equipped with two satellites, and must shoot down the enemy craft in each level. The player can use the two satellites with the twin sticks and can shoot in 8 directions, as well as being able to place the satellites in any set area. The game features five levels, or "areas", which can be accessed between the two provided game modes; Adventure Mode, which features an arcade-like premise and must restart after losing all of their lives, and Championship Mode, in which the player can select whatever stage they please to compete for the highest score.
