Motos (モトス; Motosu) is an action arcade game released on September 20, 1985. It runs on Super Pac-Man's hardware, and Mappy's video system. It stars a futuristic bumper car known as Motos, that must rid the space station of strange life forms.
As said above, the game is in a futuristic setting. You play as a bumper car known as Motos, that must bump into the strange objects on the playfield. Some stages contain "parts" (the game's equivalent of powerups), allowing Motos to jump and crack the tiles, and increase his power. The parts can be saved and can be used when the stage begins, or when the player dies.
While Motos was released during the Video Game Crash of 1983, ports were made for this game. Motos was ported to the Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, and ZX Spectrum, and for Windows' "Revenge of Arcade" bundle in 1998. Motos was also ported to PSP, PlayStation, and Wii in the Namco Museum series (but the Wii contained a special version called Pac-Motos with Pac-Man replacing Motos).
